Southern Pecan Pie
3 tablespoon butter
2/3 cup light brown sugar
few grains salt, 3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup Evaporated milk
3 eggs
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped Schermer pecans
1 unbaked pie shell
Cream butter slowly, beat in sugar and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, beat briskly. Blend entire mixture. Pour into pastry lined pie pan. 10 minutes at 450 degrees oven, reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until custard sets, about 30 minutes time.
