1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
3 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
3 c. pecans
Combine Karo syrup, sugar and water. Cook quickly to a soft ball stage. Add pecans. Reduce heat and cook slowly, stirring often. Cook to hard crack stage (310 degrees). Remove from heat and add soda. Stir and mix well. Work fast. Pour into large shallow pan (17x11x1 inch) which is sprayed with Pam. Shake pan to spread. Do not spread with a spoon or other utensil. Work fast!
